Sweet Friend Ruffles

This card is a combination of several different techniques and tools. I used two embossing folders, a framelit and an edgelit. The greeting is the only stamping on this card. Inspired by some beautiful bags made with Stampin' Up!'s  Designer Fabric by my friend, Jan Mata (See below) Thanks, Jan!

Button Buddies Birthday

I loved this stamp set the very first time I saw it! I especially like the pig. They are so round with the little short legs. They remind me of balloons in a parade. How cute can you get? And with a button nose? Adorable! Cute enough to stamp all over this card. And though it is hard to see in this picture the one with the button is heat embossed in clear over Pretty in Pink. Below are the other images in the stamp set Button Buddies. Imagine all the different ways you can use these stamps.

Bloomin' Marvelous

This card started out by playing with my Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate.  I tried a few patterns out and ended up with a nice background. I really like how the Cajun Craze CS and Comfort Cafe DSP work really well together.  These colors reminded me of fall so I thought the flower from Button Buddies stamp set looked mum-like and would fit well. That led to the greeting from the new Saleabration "Bloomin' Marvelous" stamp set.  This is how most of my creations come about. They kind of snow ball into existence.
Items used: Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla CS and Comfort Cafe DSP; Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive ink; Early Espresso Bakers Twine; Extra Large Oval and 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punches; Simply Scored Border Plate; Simply Scored Scoring Tool.

Tags On the Line

Stampin' Up!'s Hearts a Flutter Bundle in the new Spring Mini Catalog combines the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and Framelits Dies.  Here I used the three tags in the set. I think it would be great as a gift card for a baby shower or many other occasions.

Miracles Happen

Playing some more with the Core'dinations card stock. This time Pool Party.  How I love Pool Party!  What a perfect color to use with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. With just a little sanding the snowflakes pop out and sparkle with the help of a little rhinestone in the center of each. The Greeting is stamped in and matted in Early Espresso on Whisper White card stock. Quick and easy card, simple design, ready to go in about 10 minutes.

Love Core'dinations Card Stock!

The new Core'dinations card stock is just what I have been looking for. When using embossing folders I often wanted to ink the embossed image to make it stand out a little.  It never worked like I wanted it to. With this paper you can sand your image with the Stampin' Sanding System and the lighter coordinating color shows through.  Just the perfect way to highlight your embossing; gives it the distressed look. This CS color is Primrose Petals but it also comes in Real Red and Pool Party. Check it out in our new Spring Mini Catalog on page 12.  Just click on Shop Now and choose Spring Catalog on the left-hand side.

Happy New Year!

I am so ready to play with some new toys!  This card I made with my son in mind.  I used Very Vanilla CS as a base and for the birthday greeting from the Delightful Dozen stamp set. It is matted with a small piece from the Comfort Cafe DSP.  The Cajun Craze CS is a new color for me.  I am really liking the earthy tones it coordinates with.  Perfect for those masculine cards I seem to have so much trouble creating. I enjoyed embellishing with one of my new Adoring Accents Edgelits and matching embossing folder. In the center of the card you might be able to see that I also played a little with my new Simply Scored Borders Plate.  To finish it off I added 3 small brads. I have so much more playing to do, some more new things to try.  Visit my blog tomorrow for my next newest creation.
Items used: Very Vanilla  and Cajun Craze CS; Comfort Cafe DSP; Delightful Dozen stamp set; Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse Stampin' Markers; Big Shot; Adoring Accents Edgelit; Adoring Accents Embossing Folder; Simply Scored; Simply Scored Border Plate; 3/16" Antique Brass Metallic Brads.
