Card making or scrapbooking or whatever you love to create is meant to enrich the lives of others and so enriching to your own life. This is a blog celebrating creativity of every kind but focusing on the creating of paper crafts.
On December 1 we will have our last Christmas Card Club for 2012. It has been so much fun! Last night we met for class 3 and believe it or not I already have one of the cards designed for the next class. I have been wanting to use this stamp image for a long time but could never find a way that pleased me and was not so involved that it would be difficult to make more than one. I mulled it over for a couple of months and came up with this!
I used Midnight Muse card stock on a Whisper White card base, stamped the image and greeting with Versamark ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. You may have noticed the silver glimmer paper layered with the Midnight Muse CS punched with the Decorative Label punch. The glimmer paper sets off the silver embossing powder beautifully and spotlights the words. Simple but elegant!
Now to come up with one last card...SO MUCH FUN! If you want to join us for this last class.
And here is the second Christmas Card we will make on Dec. 1. Thanks to Jettie for the use of her stamp sets Watercolor Winter and Four the Holidays. The supplies used are Garden Green and Whisper White cardstock, Garden green, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Early espresso and Raspberry Ripple ink, and a little Dazzling Diamonds to accent the holly berries.
Coming up in January we will be having a monthly Stamp-a-Stack. Get stocked up on all the cards you need year round. Be checking this blog for further information in December.
Thursday is the third installment of my Christmas Card Class! We have so much fun each time we get together. This week we will be making these two cards. The first one uses a little clever paper folding to make the Christmas trees and dry embossing. The second one uses dry embossing as well plus heat embossing for the greeting. Both cards use images from My Digital Studio (MDS) a favorite of mine right now. I am currently making Christmas gifts with hybrid of MDS and my card making supplies. Sorry, can't add pictures until after Christmas. The beautiful Very Vanilla velvet ribbon is from the Stampin' Up! clearance rack. You might want to check out the deals there. Awesome! Now to get started on designing the next andvery last 2012 Christmas Card Club scheduled for December 1. Have fun stamping!
Tomorrow is the last day to sign up for this class. Designs will stay the same, colors may change. There are four ornaments in all. The last two are one ornament closed and open. Great one to mail to friends at Christmas! Stores well. Hope you can come.
In honor of Digital Scrapbooking Day Stampin' Up! is offering 3 free digital downloads and 50% off kits from October 29 through November 6. If you don't have My Digital Studio contact me to find out how!
